Meet the Owner of Salt Creek Marketplace
Salt Creek Marketplace Owner Doreen Linder
Doreen Linder is an entrepreneur who graduated with a Management degree from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA. She grew up in Paterson, NJ which was just outside New York City. New York City was where she developed her passion for retail and fashion. Since college, she has worked at retail stores, including Macy’s, Wannamakers, Talbot’s and other boutiques before embarking on creating a great place for shopping in Pawhuska OK.
She moved to Oklahoma in 2010. Since then, Doreen has worked in the gift industry, selling clothing and gifts to the trade. Ms. Linder was the sales representative with the most growth within her first year with Midwest/CBK. She was also one of the top representatives with most new accounts in the nation. Also, she owned and operate a retail business in the Woodland Hills Mall.
In 2017, she walked into Salt Creek Marketplace as a gift sales representative. There the former owner expressed to her that she wouldn't be placing an order and would soon be selling the store. Doreen decided to take the opportunity, knowing that she would be able to turn Salt Creek into an extremely successful business with all her years of experience under her belt.
Since then, Salt Creek has moved up the street on Kihekah Avenue to a location across from the Pioneer Woman’s Mercantile. People from all over the world come to shop in Salt Creek. People as far as Sierra Leone, England, and Japan have been in Salt Creek.
Salt Creek in 2019, has attained a Gravotouch Laser Engraver and does custom personalization on various items throughout the store. In 2020 our fudge counter was added to truly make Salt Creek a place you will want to return to again and again.
